I got tired just of selling "Accounting Solutions or Systems" to Small Business.
So I started to play with phrases that more accurately describe what Computer Applications &
Support Associates provides to our clients who use their computer accounting system to manage
Construction, provide Service Management, run their Restaurants, or run a Retail and Wholesale
Distribution company.
At East Texas State University, (where I ran part of the Journalism Departments' KETR-FM),
one of the introductory MBA texts was titled Accounting, The Basis for Business Decisions by
Meigs, Mosich and Johnson and one day it hit me: Since we provide Business Accounting
systems, used by our clients to make critical business decisions, the phrase "Business Decision
Support Systems" more accurately describes what we do around here.
Computer Applications and Support Associates provides our clients with real world computer
systems (sometimes using RealWorld Software) that help them and their managers make better
business decisions.
Pretty simple, 'eh?
